the poster

We added the Daisy Dares You website to the bottom of the poster so fans would be able to look at her website. We also gave information of where the song is available- hmv and itunes. The fact that the song is out now, which is important as consumers would then know when they are able to purchase the song.

our new poster design

We decided to change our poster because we didn't think the other one was up to the standard we wanted. We created this one using photoshop using the photo that is on our digipak as the background of the poster.

I chose to put the characters in black and white because it would make the writing stand out more in front of the background as the characters were originally in bright clothes against a coloured backing. However we chose to pick out some colours of what they were wearing as without a hint of colour the poster looked dull and boring.

I found the graffiti writing on a website i found on google. We thought this would be good to use as the background is the two main characters standing in front of a wall, so it would look like a realistic writing style for the background.

the photo what we used as the backdrop was also the picture that we used on the front of our digipack. This is useful s if someone wanted to buy the cd after seeing the poster they would know what too look for and also adds continuity to the artists work.

magazine poster- first draft

This is the first draft of our poster. It was done on "paint" and we felt it was a poor quality poster with insufficient in detail.

digipak

We made our digipak on photoshop. We used a picture that we took of dreamcatchers when filming to be the background and covered it with polaroids. We made the polaroids using POLADROID.
The front cover photo was taken on the base of our photo themed idea. It is in keeping with the polaroid theme if the front is of "rosie' and her friend taking a photo. The plain brick background allows all the attention to be on the girls in the photo, and the large "daisy dares you" print stands out so consumers can see who's digipak it is. We put on the track list, with more of the artists songs on it and a bar code to make it look realistic.
