In our video we was inspired by the human bicycle in Bombay Bicycle Club's video 'Shuffle'. We struggled at first as we had to make sure the singer -myself, was riding the bicycle. To film it we had to put the camera on the tripod and film before we set ourselves up as there was no one to record us. hannah, who normally records, was the front of the bike, and Georgia- who plays Rosie, was the bike seat.

filming and the flower
We filmed in a field to film a rose burning. We beleived this would be a good shot to put in our video as the song is called rosie so the burning rose would then be significant and symbolic of the friendship. Unfortunately the safetly rules we set ourselves we not fully abided. the plan was to set the rose on fire using a lighter and film it at a safe distance, but the flower was too soft and moist to burn, so we used a can of deordrant and a flame to create the fire effect as it would not burn otherwise.
j'adore france
One of our group members went on a day trip to france, so we decided that they should take the camera with them to film some french things. This would make our video look unique as not everyone is able to go to france and ilm for their videos, and we will have completely different locations.
Our group member filmed:
- the sky
- french signs
- trafic lights
- roads
She filmed a variety of things so we have a selection of choice of what can be inserted into our video.
bloopers...
We decide to make a bloopers video of the funny bits of the video, with my awful singing in the background and put it onto youtube so we didn't lose the funny footage we had leftover.

We was inspired by the bubbles in Examples Kickstarts video. We decided for the main character Harley (myself) to also blow bubbles at the camera. they covered the shot and looked like we had edited the bubbles into it, and thought it gave a quirky effect to that part of the video. I was wearing bright colours against the dark background of the garden which also made me stand out.
Editing screen shots
We had to edit the lip syncing to the music in our video. We used the bright field as the base to edit on as this was the best lip syncing section we had. Once that was put in place we then put the other lip syncing shots underneath it on other layers and locked them so they could not be moved and messed up with the lyrics. This meant that hen we added random video shots without singing in the order would not be put at risk.
We had to cut down shots using the cropping tool so we could get the shots we needed for our film, as when we was capturing the music video it was not accurate enough to put straight into the video.
We had to make the shots parallel to the music. so when the music was fast we had to use fast edditing. Similarly., when the music was slow we made some of the shots slower and used more relaxed footage of the actors.
We filmed in s many places we had lots of shots to choose from. This made it easier to make sure everything fitted, to continue to make the music and video parallel to each other.
We put the title of "Daisy dares you", and the song "Rosie" at the beginning of the music video so the audience know what the song is. This is also the technique they use in music channels and we decided to mirror this.
We separated the different shots we had into folders when we was editing to make it less confusing for us. We had one folder or lip syncing and another for the random shots we had taken. We labeled the shots we had of the different places we had been as we had been so many places it was hard to keep track of what we had.
We slowed down the footage of the waltzer as it was too fast to put in out video and fitted well with the slow music and the lyrics "you'll be back to the girl that makes me smile more than anyone else" as the lyrics are also slowed down, and shows the characters having fun.
